Behind The Chic

The Art of Reimagination

As the negative impacts of COVID-19 are felt across the world and continue to trickle into every aspect of daily life, we are learning that an optimistic approach can lead to a fresh perspective. When our offices and studios closed in March, we had only photographed a portion of our latest collection and we were left to reimagine how the rest of this photo shoot would come to life.

Chico’s Dress

Our brilliant model, Stephanie Cavalli, graciously stepped up to the challenge and offered her support. Her backdrop for our summer collection was a quaint seaside town in New York. While there, she captured two looks – a casual, striped dress in a flattering silhouette and a neutral denim and tee pairing topped with a black and white, palm print ruana.

Aside from modeling, Stephanie is the owner of La Garconne Boutique, a curated antique and vintage shop where she sources unique finds for her customers. Stephanie paired one of her unique finds, a beautiful gold cuff, with our striped dress (photographed above). La Garconne reminds us of our first Chico’s boutique that started as a small gallery filled with artfully stylish pieces procured from all over the world. We are deeply rooted in our past and can easily relate to Stephanie’s passion of finding the perfect piece to complete any outfit.

As we continue to reimagine how we will inspire you through our collections during these times, we will lean on our network of like-minded women who capture the essence of the brand in their overall aesthetic and personal pursuits.
