Inspired By Iris

Iris Apfel's style is a constant source of inspiration, from her larger than life accessories to her statement jacket collection. Chico's president, Cinny Murray, explains just how influential she is to Chico's.

I started our Black Label Collection because I was inspired by the cover of one Iris Apfel’s books. I initially responded to her because she really appreciates going over the top from an accessories standpoint. As I found out more about her, I was hooked by her confidence, her courage, and her timelessness. A strong woman who can accessorize like no one else! Love it!

IRIS, the documentary about style legend Iris Apfel, directed by film legend Albert Maysles, is in theaters now. Photos and trailer courtesy of Magnolia Pictures.

I first heard of Iris when her wonderful accessories and jewelry were introduced on HSN. I love her eye for detail and consummate sense of style. She is a gutsy lady who is still an ageless style maker. An inspiring article, thank you.

Wow I’ve been dressing like Iris since I was 17 and didn’t know it; now I’m 67 and still dressing like her… Love, love, love Chicos!!…Iris truly is an inspiration!! Thank you?

I can not wait to see the film and more of her. I feel emboldened just by watching the trailer. She’s
feisty and got moxy. I’m not pretty neither do I have style. Glad I found chico’s, I feel uplifted and
confident when I wear their clothes. Thanks Iris for being so inspiring. Youre a doll.
