Collectibles: The Embroidered Bomber

Talk about covetable: Chico’s limited edition Collectibles styles are truly unique. Each season we create a few very special pieces that have a little something extra and focus on our appreciation for artisanal craftsmanship. You know, those pieces that always elicit a “where’d you get that?” Here we share the back story behind one of our favorite Spring jackets: the Embroidered Bomber.

Effortlessly cool, the bomber jacket has been a wardrobe staple for decades. In spring’s chicest shade of grape leaf green, and embellished with thousands of shimmering sequins, our thoughtfully designed interpretation is one you’ll want to add to your collection.

Inspired by the glimmering reflections of romantic flowers growing beside a garden pond, our designers brought this beauty to life in a fascinating multi-step process. Artisans used delicate handwork to embroider the flowers and then affixed over 7,000 sequins to the jacket. Burnished metallics and sophisticated tonal shades of green create the eye-catching floral motifs that are the focal point of this timeless bomber.

Our designer’s original drawing.

The best part? Thanks to its classic shape, this jacket truly goes anywhere with anything. With jeans and a white button down, it goes from errands straight to dinner with friends. Over a little black dress, it’s the perfect substitute for a blazer at the office. All that work? Totally worth it.

You want it? You got it. Click here to buy. But hurry- supplies are very limited.

Thank you so much for the beautiful ad in Oprah Magazine. The models are smiling!! They have healthy looking bodies and do not show skinny unhappy girls with a death pallor on their faces

I have been a faithful buyer for Chico’s clothes for years. Not once have I had problems with their clothes. In fact, I mostly have Chicos items hanging in my closets. But, I am about to change to another ladies boutiques because it is where the clothes I wear are getting above my budget which I hate?

What I miss most are the great TRAELER’S wide-leg pants w/deep side pockets. They and all other pants with side pockets (not FAUX pockets) disappeared maybe 6 years ago rom what you carry. I find that most inconvenient, and
have to seach other stores to get them.

I started shopping at Chico’s in the early 80s. I have very few clothes that are not Chico brand. The one thing I miss most about my early experience with Chico’s is the policy that you could have the rubberized Chico hanger that the clothes hung on in the store. I love these hangers. Of course, I have many but could use more. I suppose it became an expensive perk and so was discontinued. Maybe Chico’s would be willing to sell in packs of six as accessory items. I would love that.

I have several jackets from Chicos, different styles. I still wear everyone of them every year. They never go out of style. Always receive compliments.

Johana, si lo compras en el internet, puedes tomarle una foto con copy and paste, y abrir un archivo que diga CHICOS, y guardar cada compra, asi hago yo. Yo can file the pictures of your purchases, or things you like. Just click on the picture, copy and paste, and open a file with CHICOS name, and store those pictures there.
